Q: What is Stoneworks?

Stoneworks is a fully-integrated manufacturer, fabricator and distributor of natural stone products.

Q. Do I have to be a building professional to work with you?

We work with homeowners, commercial customers, kitchen and bathroom dealers, and home builders.

Q. Do I have to be home during the installation?

Yes, the customer or a designated decision-maker over the age of 18 must be present during the entire installation process. We want to meet all your expectations, and the best way to do so is by keeping open lines of communication.

Q. Does Stoneworks have a warranty for their stone products?

Yes. Stoneworks guarantees our products for one year from the date of installation that the material will be free from fabrication and installation defects. Stoneworks will repair or replace, at its option and without charge, the material if it fails during the warranty due to any fabrication or installation defect. This warranty does not include damage caused by settling of the structure, improper use or maintenance of the material and chips that occur after installation.

Q. How long will the process take from purchase to installation take?

The time will vary based on the scope and complexity of the project. Most projects can be accomplished in 10 to 14 business days.

Q. When do I call for a measurement?

Plan on calling us once all the walls and cabinets in the space are secured in their final location.

Q. Do you hook up electrical and plumbing too?

Yes, we can arrange for a licensed plumber or electrician to complete this portion of the project.

Q. Do I get my sink from you?

Yes, we offer a variety of high quality sinks and faucets.

Q. Will you remove the old countertop and and dispose of it?

Yes, we can remove the old countertop and can dispose of it.

Q. How do I clean and maintain my countertop?

Cleaning and maintenance will differ depending on the material. Check out our guides on taking care of granite, quartz and marble and be sure to talk to your Stoneworks designer for more specific information on the products we recommend to help you.

Q. Can I put a hot pot or pan on my countertop?

You should never put a hot pan or skillet directly on a natural stone surface. Instead, use hot pads or trivets to help keep the heat off the surface.

Q. Can I use my countertop as a cutting board?

Your counter is strong and will stand up under the rigors of cutting, however, your knives will get dull a whole lot quicker. Your best bet is a cutting board separate from the countertops.

Q. What is the best material for me?

Your choice of material is as individual as you are. Ask a designer at Stoneworks about it and they’ll be able to tell you which is best based on your usage, care and other factors.

Q. What's the difference between undermount and top mount sinks?

Undermount sinks get that name because they are mounted below the countertops and usually have little to no edge. Top mount sinks will lay down into the counter and have a segment that overlaps the countertops.

Q. What edges do you offer?

Countertops can have many edge profiles, depending on your tastes. Take a look at the many you may choose from and use our handy visualizer to see what it will look like when you have your new countertops in place.
